“If I don’t eat, I can’t work.”

Mark Weddington portraitHello. I'm Mark Weddington, a Los Angeles-based graphic designer from North Carolina with a strong background in print/online/UI design, marketing and branding. I am a longtime devotee of design, music, film, and literature of all eras, and my profession has been a consistently rewarding one, allowing me to work with clients in fields of which I am equally enthusiastic.

The majority of my work has been with small agencies, and I'm very comfortable collaborating directly with clients on a one-to-one basis, whether for international artists such as Cybill Shepherd and UK-based Pakistani r'n'b group Sona Family, or for small-to-medium-sized companies such as Dogeared Jewels and Counter Culture Coffee.

I have also worked for larger corporate clients including Time-Warner Cable, Glaxo-Wellcome, and PPD and am very adept at working as part of a team with managers, art directors and programmers to get the job done.

In my spare time, I design online and printed collateral for music-oriented projects across the country and overseas, often for the South Asian and Hispanic markets. I pride myself on being able to work successfully with collaborators from a variety of backgrounds & life experiences, and this breadth of clientele has made my design experience a well-rounded one, both in terms of aesthetics and client interaction.

On a technical level, my attention to detail and production history in screenprinting, pre-press, proofreading and HTML / CSS coding has given me an enormous advantage in delivering error-free projects for maximum results with minimum cost.

When not designing, I like to spend time with family and friends, DJ, play guitar / bass / keyboards, watch and discuss movies, cook international vegan cuisine, hike, bike, dance, swim, play soccer, and read anything from classic literature to pulp fiction. If you want to know what I'm currently listening to and reading, visit my profiles at lastfm and goodreads.

Nice to meet you,
